Meet Jessica Roos - a modern day smith at the Gunnebo Industries factory in Växjö, Sweden.
“Working in the factory, it is important being a reliable person, always making sure the machinery keeps running safely and efficiently. I work as a smith, and I am also the foreman for one of the machines, in which we heat metal up to about 1200 C. The working pace is fast, and I have great colleagues. Teamwork is always important, especially working in this loud and hot environment.”
“At Gunnebo Industries there are plenty of opportunities to change work tasks within the different units at the factory, which is good as you don’t have to leave great friends or work values behind when searching for new challenges. For example, today I am also the cashier for our union branch.”
